For over 15 years, Peter has worked for both local and international organizations serving in executive and senior leadership capacities. He’s worked in different industries notably Retail, Global Logistics, Consulting, Finance, and Technology.
As a strategic and visionary leader, he has led major transformational assignments with a proven track record of formulating and executing agile business turnaround and acceleration strategies that have resulted to achievement of audacious and unprecedented growth, competitiveness, profitability and sustainability.
Peter possesses very strategic experience in structuring deals, managing complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders including global investors, board of directors, financial institutions, government, investment advisors and shareholders. He has successfully managed end-to-end acquisitions and mergers involving multicultural engagements, investor relations, business partnerships and working with expatriates. QuickMart, one of fastest growing brand in the retail industry is one of his flagship brands that has showcased his strategic leadership and business prowess. He has mastered the art of navigating through VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) business environments through creativity, agility, and innovation.
He is best described as a bold, focused and determined leader, serial entrepreneur and intra-preneur with a special ability to spot, seize and secure unique business opportunities that yield outstanding results against all odds. He has an outstanding business acumen, that’s powered by both logic and gut. This has been exemplified by the way he has led complex and dynamic family-owned enterprises through design of multifaceted growth strategies and governance structures that has transformed them into world- class companies.
Peter’s strategic business leadership and transformation is powered by multiple academic and professional qualifications notably an MBA in Finance from The University of Nairobi, Kenya and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and Certified Credit Management (MICM).
Peter lives in Nairobi, Kenya with his wife and three children. He is a role model, coach and mentor for upcoming leaders and entrepreneurs.
